My wife, Joanna Roguska, is a post-graduate student in Graphic Design. One
assignment required her to make a set of web pages on an unusual topic. So
with no help or influence from me, she chose the IL OBAMA Plate to write about.

Note: Giving the Obama-Mobile a nickname of the Nobel Car was her idea.

Now Testing OBAMA

Update: July 21, 2009

I finally got this picture transferred from my Samsung cellular phone.

When we went to the mandatory State of IL tri-annual auto emissions testing for
my car on July 21, they made us sit in a waiting area.  Sure enough, our
IL OBAMA Plate came up on the screen.  The technicians loved it and so did we.

Our 1997 black Ford Taurus passed the test, the test by the way.

Anyway, this picture is a real oddity.  Enjoy!

Update: September 21, 2009

Today I received a notice from Colorado's ExpressToll (www.expresstoll.com) in the mail, notifying me of a fine for violating an I-25 Express Toll Lane. In the notice they identified my name, plate, and address. The only trouble is that I live in Chicago and I have never taken my car east of Madison, WI.  I contacted the ExpressToll Service Center office and directed them to my web page.  They apologized and said that the only explanation they could give was that it was a "Typo."  They said they would take care of this and then I wrote the control resolution number by hand at the top.  Anyway, I decided to post a link to a PDF copy of the Demand Letter on this web page This is the link to that ExpressToll Demand Letter document.

The ExpressToll Service Center Office is shown below.
